Lightning struck the Angel Moroni statue atop the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan.

minutemen protest
16 people showed up at the Minutemen rally Monday night. Several of them shouted at latino construction workers across the street at the Matheson Courthouse to "Go Home" and "Give us back our jobs" . They were protesting, Salt Lake Mayor Ralph Becker's decision not to cross-deputize Salt Lake City Police Officers to be immigration agents.
