Son Volt

Jay Farrer plays with his band Son Volt at the Paladium in Salt Lake. The show was incredible, but I was only allowed to photograph the first three songs - no flash. Like most small clubs there was little light to work with. In college I was told that you had to shoot live concerts at 1/250 of a second, or the sound vibrations from the bass alone would blur your image. This 1/6 of a second exposure almost worked.
