last bit of snow


Our front lawn has been covered with snow since November, today, the last little bit almost melted, all that remains is a tiny bit of snow the size of a caterpillar.

Andy Jones

Ten-years ago Andy and his wife Kayla, traveled to Ghana on a humanitarian honeymoon, he had a great love for the people he met and offered to help sell a few drums for some drum carvers he met while he was there. Today, Andy teaches African drumming, imports djembe drums from Ghana and other African Countries, and sells them from his Salt Lake City Warehouse, and uses donations and proceeds from the drums to support a shelter for children, clean water and other humanitarian projects in Ghana. I was assigned to cover a weekly meeting of the special needs scouts, they were working on their cinematography merit badge. Because there is no age limit, some of the scouts have more than 90 merit badges.

Drive to Roosevelt


I drove to Roosevelt today for the story of the guy who stole a truck, broke into Big O Tires and got a fist full of dollars, then rammed the police car that was chasing him, until the policeman shot and killed him. The photos weren't great, but the drive home was beautiful.

I rode the Frontrunner for 3 hours today, it was stuffed full of people from all walks of liv, I think the same people rode the train today that at the Free Grand slam breakfast at Denny's yesterday.

Toyota Troubles

If you drive a Toyota, the bottom inch of your gas pedal will be chopped off with a hacksaw.
I spent three hours at the Toyota dealer this week covering the story about the gas pedal and car mat problems, It takes the mechanics about three hours to make the cars "safe" once again.
